Recipe

Roast Beef Hoagies with Horseradish Cheese

  • Serves – 4
Ingredients
  • 4 hoagie rolls, split
  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef (deli-style or leftover)
  • 6–8 slices Horseradish Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Dimock butter (softened)
  • Lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, sliced thin
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced (optional)

Step 1

Make the sauce In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, horseradish, Dijon, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Adjust heat to your liking. Set aside.

Step 2

Toast the rolls Lightly butter the cut sides of each hoagie roll. Toast in a skillet or under the broiler until golden and crisp.

Step 3

Warm the roast beef Gently heat the roast beef in a skillet over medium-low heat just until warmed through. Avoid overcooking to keep it tender.

Step 4

Melt the cheese Pile the warm roast beef onto the bottom halves of the rolls and top with Horseradish Jack slices. Place under the broiler (or in air fryer) for 1–2 minutes, just until the cheese is melted and creamy.

Step 5

Build the hoagies Add lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion if using. Spread the top half of the roll with the horseradish sauce.

Step 6

Serve Close the sandwich, press gently, and serve warm.
